A downloadable game for Windows

Markiplier falls asleep and finds himself trapped within the world of dreams, and it turns out Slendyman (NOT the trademarked Slenderman, I don't want to get sued) is behind it all! Use skills, summon friends, and fight your way through the dream world with either an axe, a spear, or a sword. Dozens of hidden secrets abound and multiple paths to one ending. Help Mark find his way home or he'll never make videos ever again!

The game features multiple Markiplier sound clips as well as a couple short videos. If you have any issues, feel free to email me at tetsuraryuuken@gmail.com.

This is a non-profit fan-made game; if you paid money for this game you got scammed!

Install instructions

Download the One Night at Markiplier's installer executable file. When you run the executable, you will be asked to determine an installation location; this can be wherever you want. After awhile the install will finish but it is not ready to be played.

You will need the RPG Maker VX Ace Runtime Package to run the game properly. If you already have RPGMaker VXAce or its corresponding Runtime Package already installed on your computer, you can skip these steps and start playing right away!

To install the RTP, download the RPGVXACE_RTP.zip file and follow these instructions:

  1. Find the downloaded file, right-click it and select Extract All.
  2. Click Extract.
  3. Open RTP100 folder and run Setup.exe to install RPG Maker VX Ace Runtime Package.
  4. Click Next.
  5. The Runtime Package will be installed. Click Next.
  6. Click Install. It starts copying the necessary files, please wait a while.

After the files have been copied, you should be able to run the game executable without any problems. The full game contains a GameJolt Achievements API, but you don't need to worry about this as it doesn't affect gameplay in the slightest. Just hit "No" when it asks you if you want to login. =)

It would be nice, but unnecessary. I made this before MV was released.

Ever wanted to port this over to RPG Maker MV?
